Abstract
This study aims to comprehensively analyze the fundamentals of planning as a core managerial function in setting goals and strategies to achieve them. In the field of education, planning is viewed as a contemplative, future-oriented process for formulating policies that align with educational objectives. The urgency of this study is driven by public expectations, regulatory dynamics, technological acceleration, and socio-cultural shifts that require the education system to be adaptive. Through a qualitative literature review design, this study synthesizes findings from authoritative literature to outline the benefits of planning in mitigating uncertainty and optimizing resource efficiency. The output of this study is projected to serve as a strategic reference in enriching the discourse on Islamic education management amid global competition.
